![]() Sensitive and Complex All Risk Losses A hotel owned by the Insured was being run by his sister, and brother-in-law who lived in the basement of the premises with their three young children. Tragically, for reasons unknown, the woman and two of the children were stabbed to death one night. As a result, the flat contents and decorations were severely contaminated, all requiring renewal. The cost of the necessary works of re-decoration and replacement of contents was dealt with under the Insurer's All Risks policy. This case required sensitive and swift handling. Through close co-operation between the loss adjusters, Insurers, Brokers and Insured's representatives, it was possible to restore the premises within weeks. Whilst nothing could detract from the tragedy surrounding the circumstances, by working together with other professionals, the RHP adjuster was able to at least minimise if not altogether eliminate the stress of dealing with this aspect for the Insured. |
